Outdoor Macro Photography.

Detail shots like the flower to the left uses a lens with a long barrel specifically designed for close up work, and is called a macro lens.
Limited depth of field is an important consideration in macro photography. This makes it essential to focus critically on the most important part of the subject, as elements that are even a millimetre closer or farther from the focal plane might be noticeably blurred.
These lenses provide consistently high optical quality and are an essential part of a professional photographers' equipment.

Portraits using Macro Lenses.

Good quality Macro Lenses also make excellent portrait lenses. Beautiful bokeh, is the blur, or the aesthetic quality of the blur, in the out-of-focus areas of an image, or the way the lens renders the out-of-focus points of light. Many of our portrait shots are taken using a macro portrait lense.

The shots below are mainly of Rutland Water and three portrait shots taken in early April.
